Gogglebox’s Malone Family Says Tearful Goodbye To Famous Rottweiler

News

Reality show Gogglebox shows the lives of several families, each with unique traits and qualities. For the Malone family, their dogs are a big part of their appeal. While people enjoy the family’s interactions with each other, they can’t get enough of the several Rottweilers who regularly steal the show.

But sadly, the Malones recently had to say goodbye to one of those special pups. Their senior Rottweiler named Lucy, crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving the family and their fans heartbroken. Each dog had an important role in the family, both onscreen and off, so the pain of losing Lucy is unbearable.

Dogs Steal the Show

In addition to Lucy, the Malones have three other Rottweilers named Dave, Bob, and Izzy. Sadly, Izzy passed away a year before Lucy. The family also had a fifth dog named Frank, but he passed away in 2018. Ever since the family joined Gogglebox in 2014, their dogs have stolen the show.

During episodes, the dogs often join their humans on the couch, which can get a bit chaotic at times. In some silly clips, they can be seen posing for a family photo, chewing on a dog mask, and getting upset when their dad inhales helium. All the dogs seem like drama queens, and it’s an adorable addition to the show.

So, it has been one heartbreak after another for this family, but they won’t let that stop them from loving dogs. The joy you experience with a dog is worth the pain you face when you lose them.

Rest in Peace, Lucy

The Malones shared a heartfelt post about Lucy on their official Instagram page. They shared a photo of Tom Sr. kissing the dog on the head and another of Julie laying beside her. Tom Jr. also posted a tribute to the sweet Rottweiler on Instagram.

“Today we said goodbye to our beloved Lucy, she fought right to the end to stay with us. Now reunited with her sister Izzy. There are no words to describe how much you meant to us. Rest In Peace Sweetheart, you will always be in our hearts,” the Malones wrote on Instagram.

Several other Gogglebox stars commented to share their condolences with the family. Dogs are part of the family, so their deaths impact us more than we can imagine. Lucy was clearly a good dog who was very loved. She was lucky to have a caring family by her side for all those years.
